April 10, 2017 – Since its designation as an Operational Test Agent (OTA) for both, the Grants Management Modernization (GMM) and the National Flood Insurance Programs (NFIP) in late 2016, Garud Technology Services, Inc. (GTS) has applied its considerable experience as an OTA in meeting the needs of Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA’s) Information Technology (IT) acquisitions. GMM as well as NFIP are designated Agile Pilot programs.
GTS has teamed with the Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) to complement our Test and Evaluation (T&E) expertise, in the application of Agile methodologies to our OTA support to FEMA. PNNL has evolved Agile software development for years, and has hundreds of certified staff in Agile/Scrum processes and testing. Collaborative GTS and PNNL efforts to date have resulted in the development of Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs) that incorporate Agile testing approaches, and testable user stories to guide software security testing.
GTS continues to support the FEMA mission in the Logistics Management Directorate (LMD) and Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration (FIMA), a component of FEMA. For additional information on GTS’s contributions in this component, please contact our account manager, Ms. Diana Escobar at email@example.com.
